असोौ सुबलपुत्रो नो जघन॑ पीड्य दंशित: । सैन्यानि सूदयत्येष पश्य पाण्डव दुर्मतिम्‌,और कहा--'पाण्डुनन्दन! कवच धारण करके आया हुआ वह सुबलपुत्र शकुनि हमारी सेनाके पिछले भागको पीड़ा देकर सारे सैनिकोंका संहार कर रहा है; इस दुर्बुद्धिको देखो तो सही

asau subalaputro no jaghanaṁ pīḍya daṁśitaḥ | sainyāni sūdayatyeṣa paśya pāṇḍava durmatim ||

കൂടാതെ പറഞ്ഞു—“പാണ്ഡുനന്ദനാ! കവചം ധരിച്ച് വന്ന ആ സുബലപുത്രൻ ശകുനി നമ്മുടെ സൈന്യത്തിന്റെ പിന്‍ഭാഗത്തെ പീഡിപ്പിച്ച് സൈനികരെ സംഹരിക്കുന്നു; ആ ദുർമതിയെ നോക്കുക!”
