Educational Q&A

Even in a destructive setting like war, the epic highlights the ethical power of solidarity and steadfast loyalty—warriors bound by shared duty (dharma as they understand it) act with greater resolve and mutual responsibility than isolated individuals.

Sañjaya is listing or pointing out key Pāṇḍava-aligned fighters—Sātyaki, all the Draupadī’s sons, Dhṛṣṭadyumna, Śikhaṇḍin, and the Pāñcāla and Somaka forces—present together as a coordinated group in the ongoing Kurukṣetra battle.
