शल्यवधे कौरवसेनाभङ्गः, भीमस्य गदायुद्धं, दुर्योधनस्य समाह्वानम्

परित्रातुं महेष्वासान् मद्रराजपदानुगान् । अन्योन्यं परिरक्षामो यत्नेन महता नूप
paritrātuṁ maheṣvāsān madrarāja-padānugān | anyonyaṁ parirakṣāmo yatnena mahatā nṛpa ||
ദുര്യോധനൻ പറഞ്ഞു—“ഹേ നരേശ്വരാ! മദ്രരാജന്റെ ആജ്ഞയെ അനുഗമിക്കുന്ന മഹാധനുര്ധരരെ രക്ഷിക്കുവാൻ നാം മഹത്തായ ജാഗ്രതയും പരിശ്രമവും കൊണ്ട് പരസ്പരം സംരക്ഷിക്കാം.”
