इस प्रकार श्रीमह्याभारत सौप्तिकपर्वमें अश्वत्थामाकी मन्त्रणाविषयक चौथा अध्याय पूरा हुआ
muhūrtam api taṁ prājñaḥ paṇḍitaṁ paryupāsya hi | kṣipraṁ dharmān vijānāti jihvā sūparasān iva ||
പ്രാജ്ഞൻ കുറച്ചുനേരം മാത്രമെങ്കിലും വിവേകമുള്ള പണ്ഡിതന്റെ സന്നിധിയിൽ സേവിച്ചാൽ, അവൻ വേഗത്തിൽ ധർമ്മത്തിന്റെ തത്ത്വങ്ങൾ അറിയുന്നു—നാവ് ഭക്ഷണത്തിന്റെ രുചി ഉടൻ തിരിച്ചറിയുന്നതുപോലെ।
