न वध: पूज्यते लोके सुप्तानामिह धर्मत: । तथैवापास्तशस्त्राणां विमुक्तरथवाजिनाम्
na vadhaḥ pūjyate loke suptānām iha dharmataḥ | tathaivāpāstaśastrāṇāṃ vimuktarathavājinām ||
കൃപൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഈ ലോകത്തിൽ ഉറങ്ങുന്നവരെ കൊല്ലുന്നത് ധർമ്മമായി അംഗീകരിക്കപ്പെടുന്നില്ല. അതുപോലെ ആയുധങ്ങൾ വച്ചുമാറ്റിയവരെയും, രഥവും കുതിരകളും അഴിച്ചുവിട്ടവരെയും (യുദ്ധാവസ്ഥയിലല്ലാത്തവരെയും) വധിക്കുന്നതും അധർമ്മമാണ്.
