Report of the Night Raid and Yudhiṣṭhira’s Lament
हत्वा भ्रातृन् वयस्यांश्व पितृन् पुत्रान् सुहृद्गणान् । बन्धूनमात्यान् पोत्रांश्व जित्वा सर्वाञ्जिता वयम्
hatvā bhrātṝn vayasyāṁś ca pitṝn putrān suhṛd-gaṇān | bandhūn amātyān pautrāṁś ca jitvā sarvān jitā vayam ||
സൂതൻ പറഞ്ഞു—സഹോദരന്മാരെയും സമപ്രായസുഹൃത്തുകളെയും പിതൃതുല്യമായ മുതിർന്നവരെയും പുത്രന്മാരെയും സുഹൃദ്വർഗ്ഗത്തെയും ബന്ധുക്കളെയും മന്ത്രിമാരെയും കൊച്ചുമക്കളെയും വരെ വധിച്ച്, അവരെ എല്ലാം ‘ജയിച്ച്’ ഞങ്ങൾ വിജയം നേടി; എന്നാൽ അവസാനം ശത്രുക്കൾ തന്നെയാണ് ഞങ്ങളെ കീഴടക്കിയത്.
