सहदेवद्न मे पुत्र: सदावेक्ष्यो वने वसन् । यथेदं व्यसन प्राप्प नायं सीदेन्महामति:,“बेटी! वनमें रहते हुए मेरे पुत्र सहदेवकी तुम सदा देखभाल रखना, जिससे यह परम बुद्धिमान सहदेव इस भारी संकटमें पड़कर दुःखी न होने पावे”
vaiśaṃpāyana uvāca | sahadevaṃ me putraḥ sadāvekṣyo vane vasan | yathedaṃ vyasanaṃ prāpya nāyaṃ sīden mahāmatiḥ ||
“മകളേ! വനത്തിൽ വസിക്കുന്ന എന്റെ പുത്രൻ സഹദേവനെ നീ എപ്പോഴും നോക്കി പരിപാലിക്കണം; ഈ ദുരന്തത്തിൽ പെട്ടാലും ആ മഹാമതി ദുഃഖത്തിൽ തളരാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്ന്.”
