Educational Q&A

Purity of conduct and inner cleansing (dhūta-pāpmānaḥ) are portrayed as producing spiritual radiance; such purified sages naturally engage in reverent worship (upāsanā) of the rightful divine authority (Indra/Śakra), modeling disciplined devotion and ethical refinement.

Nārada describes to Pārtha (Arjuna) a scene where all the devarṣis, purified and radiant like fire, are engaged in worship of Śakra (Indra), emphasizing the exalted atmosphere and the status of those present.
