तच्छुत्वा विदुरो धीमान् कलिद्वारमुपस्थितम् | विनाशमुखमुत्पन्नं धृतराष्ट्रमुपाद्रवत्,बुद्धिमानू विदुर कलहके द्वाररूप जूएका अवसर उपस्थित हुआ सुनकर और विनाशका मुख प्रकट हुआ जान धुृतराष्ट्रके पास दौड़े आये
tac chrutvā viduro dhīmān kalidvāram upasthitam | vināśamukham utpannaṃ dhṛtarāṣṭram upādravat ||
അത് കേട്ട ബുദ്ധിമാനായ വിദുരൻ—കലഹത്തിന്റെ വാതിൽ ഇപ്പോൾ തുറന്നുവെന്നും വിനാശത്തിന്റെ മുഖം ഉയർന്നുവെന്നും തിരിച്ചറിഞ്ഞു—അപകടം പടരുന്നതിന് മുമ്പേ മുന്നറിയിപ്പും നിയന്ത്രണവും നൽകാൻ ധൃതരാഷ്ട്രന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ഉടൻ ഓടിച്ചെന്നു.
