Rājasūyābhiṣeka-darśana: Duryodhana’s Observation of the Consecration

शकुनिरुवाच दुर्योधनो महाराज विवर्णो हरिण: कृश: । दीनश्रिन्तापरश्वैव तं विद्धि मनुजाधिप,शकुनिने कहा--महाराज! दुर्योधनकी कान्ति फीकी पड़ती जा रही है! वह सफेद और दुर्बल हो गया है। उसकी बड़ी दयनीय दशा है। वह निरन्तर चिन्तामें डूबा रहता है। नरेश्वर! उसके मनोभावको समझिये

śakunir uvāca—duryodhano mahārāja vivarṇo hariṇaḥ kṛśaḥ | dīnaś cintāparaś caiva taṃ viddhi manu-jādhipa ||

ശകുനി പറഞ്ഞു— മഹാരാജാ! ദുര്യോധനൻ മാൻപോലെ വിവർണ്ണനായി, കൃശനായി മാറിയിരിക്കുന്നു. അവന്റെ ശോഭ ദീനമായി; അവൻ നിരന്തരം സന്താപചിന്തയിൽ മുങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു. മനുഷ്യാധിപാ! അവന്റെ മനോഭാവം ഗ്രഹിക്കണം.
