दुर्योधनस्य बलिवर्णनम् — Duryodhana’s Description of Tribute at the Rājasūya
ततः स्फाटिकतोयां वै स्फाटिकाम्बुजशोभिताम् । वापीं मत्वा स्थलमिव सवासा: प्रापतज्जले
tataḥ sphāṭikato yāṃ vai sphāṭikāmbujaśobhitām | vāpīṃ matvā sthalam iva savāsāḥ prāpatat jale ||
അപ്പോൾ സ്ഫടികംപോലെ തെളിഞ്ഞ ജലത്തോടെ നിറഞ്ഞും സ്ഫടികമയ താമരകളാൽ ശോഭിച്ചും നിന്ന ആ കുളത്തെ കരയെന്നു തെറ്റിദ്ധരിച്ചു, വസ്ത്രധാരിയായിട്ടുതന്നെ മുന്നോട്ട് ചെന്ന് ജലത്തിൽ വീണു.
