ततः स कथयामास दृष्टवा हंसस्य किल्बिषम् | तेषां परमदु:खार्त: स पक्षी सर्वपक्षिणाम्,हंसका यह पापपूर्ण कृत्य देखकर वह पक्षी दुःखसे अत्यन्त आतुर हो उठा और उसने अन्य सब पक्षियोंसे सारा हाल कह सुनाया
tataḥ sa kathayāmāsa dṛṣṭvā haṃsasya kilbiṣam | teṣāṃ paramaduḥkhārtaḥ sa pakṣī sarvapakṣiṇām ||
അപ്പോൾ ഹംസത്തിന്റെ പാപകൃത്യം കണ്ട ആ പക്ഷി അവരുടെ കാര്യം ഓർത്ത് അത്യന്തം ദുഃഖാകുലനായി, മറ്റു എല്ലാ പക്ഷികളോടും ആ സംഭവമൊക്കെയും അറിയിച്ചു।
