सभा पर्व, अध्याय ३७ — युधिष्ठिरस्य भीष्मोपदेशः

अकस्माद्‌ धर्मपुत्रस्य धर्मात्मेति यशो गतम्‌ | को हि धर्मच्युते पूजामेवं युक्तां नियोजयेत्‌,धर्मपुत्र युधिष्ठिरको अकस्मात्‌ ही धर्मात्मा होनेका यश प्राप्त हो गया है, अन्यथा कौन ऐसा धर्मनिष्ठ पुरुष होगा जो किसी धर्मच्युतकी इस प्रकार पूजा करेगा

akasmād dharmaputrasya dharmātmeti yaśo gatam | ko hi dharmac yute pūjām evaṁ yuktāṁ niyojayet ||

ധർമ്മപുത്രന് അപ്രതീക്ഷിതമായി ‘ധർമ്മാത്മാവ്’ എന്ന യശസ് ലഭിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അല്ലെങ്കിൽ ധർമ്മത്തിൽ നിന്ന് ച്യുതനായ ഒരുവന് ഇങ്ങനെ യുക്തമായ പൂജ ഏർപ്പെടുത്താൻ ഏത് ധർമ്മനിഷ്ഠനും തയ്യാറാകും?
