Educational Q&A

The verse highlights extreme perseverance—combat carried on continuously without food, drink, or rest—inviting reflection on the moral and psychological intensity of conflict and the dangers of relentless fixation on victory.

The narration states that a battle (between two parties) commenced on the first day of the month of Kārtika and proceeded uninterrupted through day and night, with the combatants fasting and not taking rest.
