भक्ष्यभोज्यैश्न विविधैर्यथाकामपुरस्कृतै: । रत्नौघतर्पितिस्तुष)ेदधिजैश्व समुदाह्मतम्‌ । तेजस्वी च यशस्वी च नृपेभ्यो5भ्यधिको5भवत्‌,नाना प्रकारके भक्ष्य-भोज्य पदार्थ, मनोवांछित वस्तुओंका पुरस्कार तथा रत्नराशिका दान देकर तृप्त एवं संतुष्ट किये हुए ब्राह्मणोंने राजा हरिश्वन्द्रको आशीर्वाद दिये। इसीलिये वे अन्य राजाओंकी अपेक्षा अधिक तेजस्वी और यशस्वी हुए हैं

bhakṣya-bhojyaiś ca vividhair yathākāma-puraskṛtaiḥ | ratnaugha-tarpitaiḥ tuṣṭaiḥ dadhi-jaiś ca samāhṛtam | tejasvī ca yaśasvī ca nṛpebhyo 'bhyadhiko 'bhavat ||

നാനാവിധ ഭക്ഷ്യ-ഭോജ്യങ്ങൾ, ഓരോരുത്തന്റെയും ആഗ്രഹപ്രകാരം പുരസ്കാരദാനം, കൂടാതെ രത്നരാശികളും ദധി-ക്ഷീരാദികളും അർപ്പിച്ച് ബ്രാഹ്മണരെ പൂർണ്ണമായി തൃപ്തിപ്പെടുത്തി പ്രസന്നരാക്കി. ആ പ്രസന്ന ബ്രാഹ്മണരുടെ ആശീർവാദത്താൽ രാജാ ഹരിശ്ചന്ദ്രൻ മറ്റു രാജാക്കളെക്കാൾ അധികം തേജസ്സും യശസ്സും നേടി।
