नराश्वनागानमितान् निजषघ्नतुः परस्परं चापि महारथौ नृप । नरेश्वर! वे महाधनुर्धर और महारथी वीर महान् अस्त्रोंका प्रयोग करते हुए अपने भयानक बाणोंद्वारा असंख्य मनुष्यों, घोड़ों और हाथियोंका संहार करते और आपसमें भी एक-दूसरेको चोट पहुँचाते थे
sañjaya uvāca | narāśvanāgān amitān nijaśaghnatuḥ parasparaṃ cāpi mahārathau nṛpa |
സഞ്ജയൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഹേ നരേശ്വരാ! ആ രണ്ടു മഹാധനുർധര മഹാരഥന്മാർ മഹാസ്ത്രങ്ങൾ പ്രയോഗിച്ച് ഭീകരമായ അമ്പുകളാൽ അനവധി മനുഷ്യരെയും കുതിരകളെയും ആനകളെയും സംഹരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു; യുദ്ധക്രോധത്തിൽ അവർ പരസ്പരം വീണ്ടും വീണ്ടും പ്രഹരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു।
