अर्जुनो जयतां कर्णमिति शक्रो<ब्रवीत्तदा | उन दोनों महामनस्वी वीर कर्ण और अर्जुनको एकत्र हुआ देख उस समय इन्द्र बोल उठे--'अर्जुन कर्णपर विजय प्राप्त करें"
arjuno jayatāṃ karṇam iti śakro 'bravīt tadā | tau dvau mahāmanasvī vīrau karṇa-arjunau ekatra samāgatāv dṛṣṭvā tasmin kāle indra uvāca—“arjunaḥ karṇe vijayaṃ prāpnuyāt” |
സഞ്ജയൻ പറഞ്ഞു—അപ്പോൾ ശക്രൻ (ഇന്ദ്രൻ) ആ രണ്ടു മഹാമനസ്ക വീരന്മാരായ കർണനും അർജുനനും നേർക്കുനേർ വന്നത് കണ്ടു ഉച്ചരിച്ചു—“അർജുനൻ കർണനെ ജയിക്കട്ടെ.”
