कृष्णां सभागतां दृष्टवा मूढेनादीर्घदर्शिना । अस्मांस्तथावहसता क्षिपता च पुनः पुन:
sañjaya uvāca |
kṛṣṇāṃ sabhāgatāṃ dṛṣṭvā mūḍhenādīrghadarśinā |
asmāṃs tathāvahasatā kṣipatā ca punaḥ punaḥ |
സഞ്ജയൻ പറഞ്ഞു—“ആ മൂഢനും ദൂരദർശനമില്ലാത്തവനും സഭയിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുവന്ന കൃഷ്ണയെ (ദ്രൗപദിയെ) കണ്ടപ്പോൾ, അവളെ വീണ്ടും വീണ്ടും പരിഹസിച്ചു; ഞങ്ങളെയും അവഹേളിച്ച് പുനഃപുനഃ അപമാനവചനങ്ങൾ എറിഞ്ഞു. കർണന്റെ ആ മുൻ ദുഷ്കൃത്യം ഓർക്കുമ്പോൾ എന്റെ കോപം ശമിക്കുന്നില്ല; ഇന്നുതന്നെ നീ കർണന്റെ സ്ത്രീകൾ വിധവകളാകുന്നതു തീർച്ചയായും കാണും।”
