समाततेनेष्वसनेन कूजता भृशायतेनामितबाणवर्षिणा । बभूव दुर्धर्षतर: स सात्यकि: शरन्नभोमध्यगतो यथा रवि:
samātateneṣvasanena kūjatā bhṛśāyatenāmitabāṇavarṣiṇā | babhūva durdharṣataraḥ sa sātyakiḥ śarannabhomadhyagato yathā raviḥ ||
സഞ്ജയൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ചെവിവരെ വലിച്ച മഹാധനുസ്സിന്റെ ഗംഭീര മുഴക്കത്തോടെ, അളവറ്റ അമ്പുവർഷം ചൊരിഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടിരുന്ന സാത്യകി ആ സമയത്ത് ശത്രുക്കൾക്കു കൂടുതൽ ദുർധർഷനായി—ശരദൃതുവിലെ നിർമ്മലാകാശത്തിന്റെ മദ്ധ്യത്തിൽ നിൽക്കുന്ന മധ്യാഹ്നസൂര്യനെപ്പോലെ।
