वध्यमानापि यत् कर्ण नाजहू रणमूर्धनि । वहाँ हमलोगोंने पांचाल वीरोंका यह अद्भुत पराक्रम देखा कि वे मारे जानेपर भी युद्धके मुहानेपर कर्णको छोड़कर पीछे न हटे
vadhyamānāpi yat karṇa nājahū raṇamūrdhani |
സഞ്ജയൻ പറഞ്ഞു— ഹേ കർണാ! അവർ വധിക്കപ്പെടുമ്പോഴും രണത്തിന്റെ മുൻനിര വിട്ടില്ല. അവിടെ ഞങ്ങൾ പാഞ്ചാല വീരന്മാരുടെ അത്ഭുത പരാക്രമം കണ്ടു— അവർ വെട്ടിവീഴ്ത്തപ്പെടുമ്പോഴും യുദ്ധമുഖത്തിൽ നിന്ന് പിൻമാറിയില്ല; കർണനെ വിട്ട് പിന്നോട്ടും പോയില്ല।
