अस्त्यायुधं पाण्डवेयावशिष्टं न यद् वहेच्छकटं षड्गवीयम् । एतद् विद्वन् मुज्च सहस्रशो 5पि गदासिबाहुद्रविणं च ते5स्ति
asty āyudhaṁ pāṇḍaveyāvaśiṣṭaṁ na yad vahecchakaṭaṁ ṣaḍgavīyam | etad vidvan muñca sahasraśo 'pi gadāsibāhudraviṇaṁ ca te 'sti pāṇḍunandana |
വിശോകൻ പറഞ്ഞു— “പാണ്ഡുനന്ദനാ! നിനക്കിപ്പോഴും ശേഷിക്കുന്ന ആയുധങ്ങൾ അത്രയും അധികമാണ്; ആറു കാളകളെ കെട്ടിയ വണ്ടിക്കും അവയെ വഹിക്കാനാവില്ല. അതിനാൽ, ജ്ഞാനിയേ, അവയെ ആയിരക്കണക്കിന് പോലും പ്രയോഗിക്ക. നിനക്കിപ്പോഴും ഗദകളും വാളുകളും, സ്വന്തം ഭുജബലത്തിന്റെ സമ്പത്തും ഉണ്ട്. ആയുധങ്ങൾ തീരും എന്ന ഭയം വേണ്ട; നിനക്ക് ആയുധക്ഷയം ഉണ്ടാകില്ല।”
