कर्णनिधनवृत्तान्तनिवेदनम् | Reporting Karṇa’s Fall to Yudhiṣṭhira

स दृष्टवा नृपशार्दूलं शार्टूल्समविक्रमम्‌ । हर्षकाले च सम्प्राप्ते किमिदे मोहकारितम्‌,“सिंहके समान पराक्रमी नृपश्रेष्ठ युधिष्ठिरको स्वस्थ देखकर जब तुम्हारे लिये हर्षका अवसर आया है, ऐसे समयमें यह मोहकारित कौन-सा कृत्य होने जा रहा है?

sa dṛṣṭvā nṛpaśārdūlaṃ śārdūlasamavikramaṃ | harṣakāle ca samprāpte kim idaṃ mohakāritam ||

സഞ്ജയൻ പറഞ്ഞു—മനുഷ്യരിൽ വ്യാഘ്രമായ, വ്യാഘ്രസമവിക്രമനായ രാജശ്രേഷ്ഠൻ യുദ്ധിഷ്ഠിരനെ കുശലമായി കണ്ടപ്പോൾ, നിനക്ക് ആനന്ദിക്കേണ്ട സമയമെത്തിയിരിക്കെ, ഈ മോഹപ്രേരിതമായ ഏത് പ്രവൃത്തിയിലേക്കാണ് നീ കടക്കുന്നത്?
