एताज्जित्वा महावीर्य: कर्ण: शत्रुगणान् बहून् । जितवान् मां महाबाहो यतमानो महारणे,महाबाहो! महायुद्धमें विजयके लिये प्रयत्न करनेवाले महापराक्रमी कर्णने इन बहुसंख्यक शत्रुगणोंको परास्त करके मुझपर विजय पायी थी

മഹാബാഹോ! മഹായുദ്ധത്തിൽ ജയത്തിനായി പരിശ്രമിച്ച മഹാപരാക്രമിയായ കർണ്ണൻ ഈ അനേകം ശത്രുസമൂഹങ്ങളെ ജയിച്ച് എന്നെയും പരാജയപ്പെടുത്തി।
युधिषछ्िर उवाच

In the course of the great battle, Yudhiṣṭhira recalls/declares that Karṇa, after defeating many enemy formations, also overcame Yudhiṣṭhira himself. The statement underscores Karṇa’s battlefield dominance at this point in the Karṇa Parva.
