स संशयं गमित: पाण्डवाग्र्य: संख्येडद्य कर्णेन महानुभाव: । ज्ञातुं प्रयाह्मयाशु तमद्य भीम स्थास्याम्यहं शत्रुगणान् निरुद्ध्य
sa saṁśayaṁ gamitaḥ pāṇḍavāgryaḥ saṅkhye ’dya karṇena mahānubhāvaḥ | jñātuṁ prayāhy āśu tam adya bhīma sthāsyāmy ahaṁ śatrugaṇān niruddhya ||
ഇന്ന് യുദ്ധത്തിന്റെ നടുവിൽ ആ മഹാനുഭാവനായ പാണ്ഡവശ്രേഷ്ഠൻ കർണ്ണനാൽ സംശയവും അപകടവും നിറഞ്ഞ നിലയിലേക്കു തള്ളപ്പെട്ടു. അതുകൊണ്ട്, ഭീമാ, നീ വേഗത്തിൽ പോയി അവന്റെ അവസ്ഥ അറിയുക; ഞാൻ ഇവിടെ ശത്രുസമൂഹത്തെ തടഞ്ഞുനിൽക്കും.
