परित्राह्ोनमभ्येत्य संशयं परमं गतम्
paritrāhoṇam abhyetya saṁśayaṁ paramaṁ gatam
സഞ്ജയൻ പറഞ്ഞു—രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടേണ്ടവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നപ്പോൾ അവൻ പരമസംശയത്തിൽ ആകപ്പെട്ടു. യുദ്ധത്തിന്റെ കലഹത്തിൽ എന്താണ് കർത്തവ്യം, എന്താണ് അകർതവ്യം എന്ന അനിശ്ചിതത്വം അവനെ പിടിച്ചുകെട്ടി; രക്ഷയുടെ അടിയന്തരത അത്യന്തം ആയിരുന്നിട്ടും.
