Karṇa-parva Adhyāya 58 — Arjuna’s Arrow-Storm and Relief of Bhīmasena

पार्षतस्य धनुश्कछित्त्वा शरांश्षाशीविषोपमान्‌ । ताडयामास संक्रुद्ध: पार्षत॑ नवभि: शरै:

pārṣatasya dhanuś chittvā śarān āśīviṣopamān | tāḍayāmāsa saṅkruddhaḥ pārṣataṁ navabhiḥ śaraiḥ ||

പാർഷതന്റെ ധനുസ്സു വെട്ടി, വിഷധരസർപ്പസമാനമായ വിഷബാണങ്ങളും ഛേദിച്ച്, ക്രോധം കത്തിയ കർണ്ണൻ പാർഷതനായ ധൃഷ്ടദ്യുമ്നനെ ഒമ്പത് ശരങ്ങളാൽ പ്രഹരിച്ചു.
