Arjuna’s targeted advance; Śalya–Karṇa dialogue; interception attempts
द्रोणपुत्रं पराजित्य जित्वा चान्यान् महारथान् । अब्रवीदर्जुनो राजन् वासुदेवमिदं वच:,नरेश्वर! द्रोणपुत्र तथा अन्यान्य महारथियोंकों हताकर और उनपर विजय पाकर अर्जुनने भगवान् श्रीकृष्णसे इस प्रकार कहा--
droṇaputraṁ parājitya jitvā cānyān mahārathān | abravīd arjuno rājan vāsudevam idaṁ vacaḥ ||
നരേശ്വരാ! ദ്രോണപുത്രനെ പരാജയപ്പെടുത്തി, മറ്റു മഹാരഥന്മാരെയും ജയിച്ച ശേഷം അർജുനൻ വാസുദേവനായ ശ്രീകൃഷ്ണനോട് ഇങ്ങനെ പറഞ്ഞു।
