जगाम भरतमश्रेष्ठ वध्यमानं परस्परम् | भरतश्रेष्ठ! परस्पर मार खाती हुई वह सेना रक्तके प्रवाहमें डूबकर खूनसे लथपथ हो गयी थी और एक-दूसरेकी चोट खाकर विनाशको प्राप्त हो रही थी

സഞ്ജയൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഭരതശ്രേഷ്ഠാ, ആ സൈന്യം പരസ്പരം പ്രഹരിക്കയും പ്രഹരിക്കപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്ത് രക്തപ്രവാഹങ്ങളിൽ മുങ്ങി. രക്തത്തിൽ ലിപ്തമായി, പരസ്പരാഘാതങ്ങളാൽ തകർന്നു നാശത്തിലേക്ക് നീങ്ങി.
