Arjuna’s Rapid Advance and the Bhīma–Śakuni Encounter

The verse highlights that in a dharmic conflict, outer capability (strength, weapons, position) must be matched by inner steadiness. Readiness is ethical as well as physical: a warrior’s duty requires courage, composure, and unwavering resolve.
Sañjaya reports an anxious, morale-testing inquiry directed at Arjuna, checking whether he remains physically capable and firmly positioned on his chariot with the Gāṇḍīva—signs that he is still prepared to fight and fulfill his role in the battle.
