अर्जुनस्य शीघ्रप्रयाणं भीम-शकुनियुद्धं च
Arjuna’s Rapid Advance and the Bhīma–Śakuni Encounter
तस्यास्यतोअर्धचन्द्रा भ्यां बाहू परिघसंनिभौ । पूर्णचन्द्रा भवक्त्रं च क्षुरेणाभ्यहरच्छिर:,उस समय अर्जुनने बाण-वर्षा करनेवाले उस वीरकी परिघके समान मोटी और सुदृढ़ भुजाओंको दो अर्धचन्द्राकार बाणोंसे काट डाला और एक छुरेके द्वारा पूर्ण चन्द्रमाके समान मनोहर मुखवाले उसके मस्तकको भी धड़से अलग कर दिया
tasyāsyato 'rdhacandrābhyāṃ bāhū parighasaṃnibhau | pūrṇacandrābhavaktraṃ ca kṣureṇābhyaharac chiraḥ ||
അവൻ അമ്പുമഴ ചൊരിയുമ്പോൾ അർജുനൻ അർദ്ധചന്ദ്രാകൃതിയുള്ള രണ്ടു ശരങ്ങളാൽ ഗദപോലെ കട്ടിയുള്ള ശക്തമായ അവന്റെ രണ്ടു ഭുജങ്ങളും വെട്ടിമാറ്റി; പിന്നെ ക്ഷുരധാരമായ ശരത്തോടെ പൂർണ്ണചന്ദ്രനെപ്പോലെ മനോഹരമുഖമുള്ള അവന്റെ ശിരസ്സും ധടത്തിൽ നിന്ന് വേർപ്പെടുത്തി।
