भीमसेनस्य वेगाभिपातः—विशोकसारथिसंवादश्च

श्रुतकीर्ति च नवभि: सुतसोमं च पठ्चभि: । अष्टशभि: श्रुतकर्माणं प्रतिविन्ध्यं त्रिभि: शरै:
śrutakīrtiṃ ca navabhiḥ sutasomaṃ ca pañcabhiḥ | aṣṭabhiḥ śrutakarmāṇaṃ prativindhyaṃ tribhiḥ śaraiḥ | śrutakīrtes tathā cāpaṃ ciccheda niśitaiḥ śaraiḥ ||
സഞ്ജയൻ പറഞ്ഞു—അവൻ ശ്രുതകീർത്തിയെ ഒൻപതു ശരങ്ങളാൽ, സുതസോമനെ അഞ്ചാൽ, ശ്രുതകർമ്മനെ എട്ടാൽ, പ്രതിവിന്ധ്യനെ മൂന്നാൽ പ്രഹരിച്ചു. പിന്നെ മൂർച്ചയുള്ള ശരങ്ങളാൽ ശ്രുതകീർത്തിയുടെ ധനുസ്സും വെട്ടിമുറിച്ചു.
