कृष्णोपदेशः, अर्जुनस्य क्षमा-याचनम्, कर्णवध-अनुज्ञा

अवलप्लुत्य च वेगेन तव सैन्यं विशाम्पते । व्यधमद् गदया भीम: शरन्मेघानिवानिल:ः,प्रजानाथ! जैसे वायु शरत्कालके बादलोंको शीघ्र ही उड़ा देती है, उसी प्रकार भीमसेनने बड़े वेगसे कूदकर अपनी गदाकी चोटसे आपकी सेनाका विध्वंस आरम्भ किया
avalaplutya ca vegena tava sainyaṃ viśāmpate | vyadhamad gadayā bhīmaḥ śaran-meghān ivānilaḥ ||
സഞ്ജയൻ പറഞ്ഞു—പ്രജാനാഥാ! ഭീമസേനൻ മഹാവേഗത്തോടെ ചാടി നിന്റെ സൈന്യത്തിലേക്ക് കുതിച്ചു കയറി, ഗദാപ്രഹാരങ്ങളാൽ അതിനെ തകർക്കാൻ തുടങ്ങി; ശരത്കാല മേഘങ്ങളെ കാറ്റ് വേഗത്തിൽ പായിച്ചുകളയുന്നതുപോലെ।
