कृष्णोपदेशः, अर्जुनस्य क्षमा-याचनम्, कर्णवध-अनुज्ञा

अभ्यद्रवन्त समरे भीम॑ भीमपराक्रमम् । प्रभो! उस शूरवीरकों मारा गया देख उसके भाई समरभूमिमें भयंकर पराक्रमी भीमसेनपर सब ओरसे टूट पड़े
abhyadravanta samare bhīmaṁ bhīmaparākramam | prabho! taṁ śūravīraṁ hataṁ dṛṣṭvā tasya bhrātaraḥ samarabhūmau bhayaṅkara-parākramiṇaṁ bhīmasenam sarvataḥ samantāt pratyapatanta |
സഞ്ജയൻ പറഞ്ഞു—സമരത്തിൽ അവർ ഭീമനെ, ഭീകരപരാക്രമിയായ ഭീമനെ, ആക്രമിച്ചു. പ്രഭോ, ആ ശൂരവീരൻ വധിക്കപ്പെട്ടതു കണ്ടപ്പോൾ, അവന്റെ സഹോദരങ്ങൾ ദുഃഖവും ധർമ്മബോധവും കൊണ്ട് ജ്വലിച്ച് യുദ്ധഭൂമിയിൽ എല്ലാദിക്കുകളിൽ നിന്നുമെത്തി ഭീമസേനനെതിരെ പാഞ്ഞുകയറി.
