कर्णनिधनश्रवणम् — Hearing of Karṇa’s Fall and Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Lament
अलनम्बुषो राक्षसेन्द्र: खरबन्धुरयानवान् । घटोत्कचेन विक्रम्य गमितो यमसादनम्,घटोत्कचने पराक्रम करके गर्दभयुक्त सुन्दर रथवाले राक्षसराज अलम्बुषको यमलोक पहुँचा दिया है
sañjaya uvāca |
alambūṣo rākṣasendraḥ kharabandhurayānavān |
ghaṭotkacena vikramya gamito yamasādanam ||
സഞ്ജയൻ പറഞ്ഞു—കഴുതകൾ വലിക്കുന്ന മനോഹര രഥത്തിൽ ആരൂഢനായിരുന്ന രാക്ഷസരാജൻ അലമ്പുഷൻ ഘടോത്കചനിന്റെ പരാക്രമത്തിൽ കീഴടക്കപ്പെട്ടു യമസദനത്തിലേക്ക് അയക്കപ്പെട്ടു. യുദ്ധധർമ്മത്തിന്റെ കഠിന ന്യായത്തിൽ ഇത് ഒരു ഭീകര യോദ്ധാവിന്റെ വിധിനിശ്ചിതമായ വേഗാന്ത്യമായിരുന്നു.
