समावृतैर्नरवरैर्निष्नद्धिरितरेतरम् । उस समय वहाँ अस्त्रोंसे आवृत हो परस्पर आघात करनेवाले नरश्रेष्ठ वीरोंके चलाये हुए बाणोंकी वृष्टिसे आकाशमें मेघोंकी छाया-सी छा रही थी

അന്നേരം അവിടെ ആയുധങ്ങളാൽ മൂടപ്പെട്ട് പരസ്പരം പ്രഹരിച്ച നരശ്രേഷ്ഠ വീരന്മാർ വിട്ട അമ്പുകളുടെ നിരന്തരവർഷം മൂലം ആകാശത്ത് മേഘഛായപോലെ ഇരുണ്ട നിഴൽ പടർന്നിരുന്നു।
