Adhyāya 41 — Kṛṣṇa’s Battlefield Briefing and the Renewal of the Great Engagement
युद्धे सहिष्पे हिमवानिवाचलो धनंजयं क्रुद्धममृष्यमाणम् । 'वृक्षोंकी तोड़-उखाड़ देनेवाली प्रचण्ड वायुके समान प्रमथनशील, बलवान, प्रहारकुशल, तोड़-फोड़ करनेवाले तथा अमर्षशील क़ुद्ध अर्जुनका वेग आज मैं युद्धस्थलमें हिमालय पर्वतके समान अचल रहकर सहन करूँगा
yuddhe sahiṣpe himavān ivācalaḥ dhanañjayaṁ kruddham amṛṣyamāṇam | vṛkṣāṇāṁ toḍa-ukhāḍa-dāyinī pracaṇḍa-vāyur iva pramathanaśīlaḥ balavān prahārakuśalaḥ toḍa-phoḍa-kārī tathā amarṣīlaḥ kruddha arjunasya vegaṁ adya ahaṁ yuddhasthale himālaya-parvata-samānam acalaḥ bhūtvā sahiṣye ||
സഞ്ജയൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഈ യുദ്ധത്തിൽ കോപാകുലനും അപമാനം സഹിക്കാത്തവനുമായ ധനഞ്ജയൻ അർജുനന്റെ പ്രചണ്ഡവേഗം ഞാൻ സഹിക്കും. വൃക്ഷങ്ങളെ ഒടിച്ചു പിഴുതെറിയുന്ന കൊടുങ്കാറ്റുപോലെ അവൻ മർദനശീലൻ, ബലവാൻ, പ്രഹാരനിപുണൻ, വിധ്വംസകൻ; എങ്കിലും ഇന്ന് യുദ്ധഭൂമിയിൽ ഞാൻ ഹിമവാനെപ്പോലെ അചലനായി നിന്നുകൊണ്ട് അവന്റെ പ്രഹരം ധരിക്കും.
