Karṇa’s Pressure on the Pāñcālas; Duryodhana Disabled; Arjuna’s Counter-Advance
द्रोणद्रौणिकृपैर्गुप्तो भीष्मेणान्यैश्व कौरवै: । विराटनगरे पार्थमेक॑ कि नावधीस्तदा,विराटनगरमें तो द्रोणाचार्य, अश्वत्थामा, कृपाचार्य, भीष्म तथा अन्य कौरव वीर भी तुम्हारी रक्षा कर रहे थे। फिर उस समय तुमने अकेले सामने आये हुए अर्जुनका वध क्यों नहीं कर डाला?
droṇa-drauṇi-kṛpaiḥ gupto bhīṣmeṇānyaiś ca kauravaiḥ | virāṭa-nagare pārtham ekaṁ kiṁ na avadhīs tadā ||
വിരാടനഗരത്തിൽ ദ്രോണൻ, അശ്വത്ഥാമാവ്, കൃപൻ, ഭീഷ്മൻ എന്നിവരും മറ്റു കൗരവവീരന്മാരും നിന്നെ കാത്തിരുന്നു. അപ്പോൾ ഒറ്റയ്ക്കായി മുന്നിൽ നിന്ന അർജുനനെ (പാർത്ഥനെ) നീ എന്തുകൊണ്ട് വധിച്ചില്ല?
