Karṇa’s Pressure on the Pāñcālas; Duryodhana Disabled; Arjuna’s Counter-Advance
काक काकेति वाशन्तं निमज्जन्तं महार्णवे । कृपया<5<5दाय हंसस्तं जलक्लिन्न सुदुर्दुशम्
kāka kāketi vāśantaṁ nimajjantaṁ mahārṇave | kṛpayā dāya haṁsas taṁ jalaklinnaṁ sudurduśam ||
കാക്ക “കാക്കാ! കാക്കാ!” എന്ന് കരഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ട് മഹാസമുദ്രത്തിൽ മുങ്ങിത്തുടങ്ങി. വെള്ളത്തിൽ നനഞ്ഞ് അത്യന്തം ദീനവും ദുരവസ്ഥയിലുമായ ആ ജീവിയെ കണ്ട ഹംസം കരുണയാൽ ദ്രവിച്ച് ദയചെയ്ത് സഹായത്തിനായി അടുത്തുവന്നു.
