Karṇa’s Pressure on the Pāñcālas; Duryodhana Disabled; Arjuna’s Counter-Advance
अथ काका: प्रजहसुर्ये तत्रासन् समागता:,हंसस्य पतितं काको बलवानाशुविक्रम: । तब वहाँ आये हुए सारे कौए जोर-जोरसे हँसने लगे और आपसमें बोले--“भला यह हंस एक ही उड़ानसे सौ प्रकारकी उड़ानोंको कैसे जीत सकता है? यह कौआ बलवान् और शीघ्रतापूर्वक उड़नेवाला है; अतः सौमेंसे एक ही उड़ानद्वारा हंसकी उड़ानको पराजित कर देगा'
atha kākāḥ prajahasuḥ ye tatrāsan samāgatāḥ | haṃsasya patitaṃ kāko balavān āśu-vikramaḥ ||
അപ്പോൾ അവിടെ കൂടിയിരുന്ന കാക്കകൾ പൊട്ടിച്ചിരിച്ചു, തമ്മിൽ പറഞ്ഞു—“നോക്കൂ, ഹംസം താഴ്ന്നുപോയി! ഒരേയൊരു പറക്കലാൽ അവൻ നൂറുവിധ പറക്കലുകളെ എങ്ങനെ ജയിക്കും? ഈ കാക്ക ബലവാനും വേഗശാലിയും; അതിനാൽ ആ നൂറിൽ ഏതെങ്കിലും ഒരു പറക്കലാൽ തന്നെ ഹംസത്തിന്റെ പറക്കലിനെ തോൽപ്പിക്കും.”
