Karna Reproves Shalya; Brahmin Reports on Bāhlīkas; Shalya’s Universalizing Rebuttal (कर्ण–शल्य संवादः)
एवं कृते कृतं साहां सर्वकामैर्भविष्यति
evaṃ kṛte kṛtaṃ sāhaṃ sarvakāmair bhaviṣyati | bhārata! tadāhaṃ saṅgrāme yat kiṃcid kariṣyāmi, tat tvaṃ svayaṃ drakṣyasi | yuddhasthale āgatān samastān pāṇḍavān niścayaṃ sarvathā jayiṣyāmi ||
കർണ്ണൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഇങ്ങനെ ചെയ്താൽ, എന്റെ എല്ലാ ലക്ഷ്യങ്ങൾക്കും അനുസരിച്ച് എനിക്ക് പൂർണ്ണമായ പിന്തുണ ലഭിക്കും. ഓ ഭാരതാ! അപ്പോൾ യുദ്ധത്തിൽ ഞാൻ ചെയ്യുന്നതെല്ലാം നീ സ്വന്തം കണ്ണാൽ കാണും. യുദ്ധഭൂമിയിൽ വന്നിരിക്കുന്ന പാണ്ഡവരെല്ലാം ഞാൻ നിശ്ചയമായി എല്ലാ വിധത്തിലും ജയിക്കും.
