निवार्य समरे चापि शरांस्तान्‌ निशितै: शरै: । आजचघान सुसंक्रुद्ध: सुतसोम॑ त्रिभि: शरै:

nivārya samare cāpi śarāṁs tān niśitaiḥ śaraiḥ | ājaghāna susaṁkruddhaḥ sutasomaṁ tribhiḥ śaraiḥ ||

സഞ്ജയൻ പറഞ്ഞു: “സമരത്തിൽ ആ അമ്പുകളെ തന്റെ മൂർച്ചയുള്ള അമ്പുകളാൽ തടഞ്ഞിട്ട്, അത്യന്തം ക്രുദ്ധനായി അവൻ സുതസോമനെ മൂന്നു അമ്പുകളാൽ പ്രഹരിച്ചു.”
