Karṇa-parva Adhyāya 19 — Saṃśaptaka–Trigarta Assault and Aindra-astra Counter
ततस्तानस्यत: सर्वान् द्रौणेर्बाणान् महात्मन: । जानानोअप्यक्षयान् पाण्ड्योडशातयत् पुरुषर्षभ:,पुरुषशिरोमणि पाण्ड्यने बाण चलाते हुए महामनस्वी अश्वत्थामाके उन सब बाणोंको अक्षय जानते हुए भी काट डाला
tatas tān asyataḥ sarvān drauṇer bāṇān mahātmanaḥ | jānann apy akṣayān pāṇḍyo 'śātayat puruṣarṣabhaḥ ||
അപ്പോൾ പുരുഷശ്രേഷ്ഠനായ പാണ്ഡ്യൻ മഹാത്മാവായ ദ്രോണപുത്രൻ പ്രയോഗിച്ച എല്ലാ അമ്പുകളെയും—അവ അക്ഷയമാണെന്ന് അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടും—വെട്ടി തകർത്തു.
