The verse highlights how political authority is reinforced through dharmic ritual and public acclaim: consecration (abhiṣeka) and collective praise function as social validation, presenting Karna’s elevation as formally sanctioned even within the ethically fraught setting of battle.
After Karna is ritually anointed/installed and seated on a distinguished throne, representatives of all four varṇas—Brahmins, Kshatriyas, Vaishyas, and respected Shudras—offer praise, marking a ceremonial affirmation of his status and command.
