कर्णसेनापत्यारम्भः — Karṇa’s Appointment and the Report to Dhṛtarāṣṭra
Chapter 1
ततः शत्रुक्षयं कृत्वा सुमहान्तं रणे वृष: । पश्यतां धार्तराष्ट्राणां फाल्गुनेन निपातित:
tataḥ śatrukṣayaṃ kṛtvā sumahāntaṃ raṇe vṛṣaḥ | paśyatāṃ dhārtarāṣṭrāṇāṃ phālgunena nipātitaḥ ||
അതിനുശേഷം യുദ്ധത്തിൽ ശത്രുക്കളുടെ അതിമഹത്തായ സംഹാരം വരുത്തിയ ആ വൃഷഭസമനായ വീരൻ, ധൃതരാഷ്ട്രപുത്രന്മാർ നോക്കി നിൽക്കേ ഫാൽഗുണൻ (അർജുനൻ) കൈയ്യാൽ വീഴ്ത്തപ്പെട്ടു.
