शूराणां गर्जतां राजन संक्रुद्धानाममर्षिणाम् | श्रूयन्ते सम गिरक्षित्रा: परस्परवधैषिणाम्
śūrāṇāṁ garjatāṁ rājan saṁkruddhānām amarṣiṇām | śrūyante samagirakṣitrāḥ parasparavadha-eṣiṇām ||
രാജാവേ! അപ്പോൾ അതിക്രോധത്തിൽ ജ്വലിച്ച്, അമർഷശീലരായി, പരസ്പരവധം ആഗ്രഹിച്ച് ഗർജ്ജിക്കുന്ന വീരന്മാരുടെ ഭയങ്കരവും വിചിത്രവുമായ നാനാധ്വനികൾ യുദ്ധഭൂമിയാകെ കേൾക്കപ്പെട്ടു।
