अभिमन्युना दुःशासनस्य ताडनम्
Abhimanyu’s Rebuke and Wounding of Duḥśāsana; Karṇa’s Counter-volley
द्रोणं कर्ण कृपं शल्यं द्रौ्णिं भोजं बृहदूबलम् । दुर्योधनं सौमदत्ति शकुनिं च महाबलम्
sañjaya uvāca |
droṇaṁ karṇaṁ kṛpaṁ śalyaṁ drauṇiṁ bhojaṁ bṛhadbalam |
duryodhanaṁ saumadattiṁ śakuniṁ ca mahābalam ||
സഞ്ജയൻ പറഞ്ഞു—അഭിമന്യു ജ്വലിക്കുന്ന അലാതചക്രംപോലെ എല്ലാദിക്കുകളിലും ചുറ്റി, ദ്രോണൻ, കർണൻ, കൃപൻ, ശല്യൻ, ദ്രോണപുത്രൻ അശ്വത്ഥാമാവ്, ഭോജവംശീയൻ കൃതവർമ്മാവ്, ബൃഹദ്ബലൻ, ദുര്യോധനൻ, സൗമദത്തി (ഭൂരിശ്രവസ്) എന്നിവരെയും മഹാബലൻ ശകുനിയെയും—കൂടാതെ അനേകം രാജാക്കളെയും രാജകുമാരന്മാരെയും അവരുടെ വിവിധ സൈന്യവിഭാഗങ്ങളെയും—അമ്പുകളാൽ നിരന്തരം പ്രഹരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.
