तौ च श्रुत्वा मृतौ व्यक्त पाण्डो: क्षेत्रोद्भवा: सुता: । एकाह्वा ससुद्॒द्वर्गा: क्लैब्याद्धास्यन्ति जीवितम्
tau ca śrutvā mṛtau vyakta pāṇḍoḥ kṣetrodbhavāḥ sutāḥ | ekāhvā sasuhṛd-vargāḥ klaibyād hāsyanti jīvitam ||
ആ രണ്ടുപേരും തീർച്ചയായും കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ടുവെന്നു കേട്ടാൽ, പാണ്ഡുവിന്റെ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ ജനിച്ച ആ നാലു പാണ്ഡവർ തങ്ങളുടെ സുഹൃദ്വർഗത്തോടുകൂടി ഭീരുത്വം മൂലം ഒരേ ദിവസത്തിനകം ജീവൻ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കും.
संजय उवाच
