महाबाहो! तुम अपने पिता, मामा, तेज, अस्त्रबल तथा अपनी प्रतिष्ठके अनुरूप युद्धमें पराक्रम करो ।।
mahābāho! tvaṁ svapitṛ-mātulān tejaḥ astrabalaṁ ca svapratiṣṭhānurūpaṁ yuddhe parākramaṁ kuru. etadarthaṁ hi haiḍimbe putrān icchanti mānavāḥ | kathaṁ nas tārayet duḥkhāt sa tvaṁ tāray bāndhavān, hiḍimbākumāra ||
ഹേ മഹാബാഹോ! നിന്റെ പിതാവിനും മാതുലന്മാർക്കും, നിന്റെ തേജസ്സിനും ആയുധബലത്തിനും, നിന്റെ പ്രതിഷ്ഠയ്ക്കും യോജിച്ച വിധത്തിൽ യുദ്ധത്തിൽ പരാക്രമം കാണിക്ക. ഹേ ഹൈഡിംബിയുടെ പുത്രാ! മനുഷ്യർ പുത്രനെ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നത് ഇതുകൊണ്ടുതന്നെ—അവൻ ഏതെങ്കിലും വിധത്തിൽ നമ്മെ ദുഃഖത്തിൽ നിന്ന് രക്ഷിക്കും എന്ന്; അതിനാൽ, ഹിഡിംബാകുമാരാ, നിന്റെ ബന്ധുക്കളെയും സ്വജനങ്ങളെയും ദുരിതത്തിൽ നിന്ന് കരകയറ്റുക.
