अथ कर्ण: शरव्रातैर्भीमसेनं समार्पयत् । ननाद च महानादं पुनर्विव्याध चोरसि,तदनन्तर कर्णने अपने बाणसमूहोंद्वारा भीमसेनको घायल कर दिया। उसने बड़े जोरसे गर्जना की और पुन: भीमसेनकी छातीमें चोट पहुँचायी
atha karṇaḥ śaravrātair bhīmasenaṃ samārpayat | nanāda ca mahānādaṃ punar vivyādha corasi ||
അനന്തരം കർണ്ണൻ അമ്പുകളുടെ കൂട്ടത്തോടെ ഭീമസേനനെ മുറിവേൽപ്പിച്ചു. മഹാനാദത്തോടെ ഗർജിച്ച് വീണ്ടും അവന്റെ നെഞ്ചിൽ വേദിച്ചു.
