ततो भीमो महाबाहुर्विरथो रथिनां वर: । गदां प्रगृह वेगेन प्रचस्कन्द रथोत्तमात्,इस प्रकार रथहीन होनेपर रथियोंमें श्रेष्ठ महाबाहु भीमसेन हाथमें गदा लेकर उस उत्तम रथसे वेगपूर्वक कूद पड़े

സഞ്ജയൻ പറഞ്ഞു—അപ്പോൾ മഹാബാഹുവായ ഭീമൻ, രഥം നഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടിട്ടും രഥികളിൽ ശ്രേഷ്ഠൻ, ഗദ കൈയിൽ പിടിച്ച് ആ ഉത്തമ രഥത്തിൽ നിന്ന് വേഗത്തിൽ ചാടിയിറങ്ങി.
